Frequently asked questions

  • Of course! We are happy to come alongside of your provider to better serve you and your care needs. We understand that a health provider/patient relationships are very important.

  • No. If we took health insurance we would be required to increase the volume on the schedule and even over schedule to sustain operations. DPC focuses on smaller patient rosters which allows us to have more accessibility, more availability, and more time for you and your needs.

  • While there is no formal commitment time frame, we do ask if new members commit to a 3 months trial period and develop a relationship with the provider to determine if we would be a good fit longterm for you.

  • Yes, you can. We will work with certain labs and imaging facilities to provide transparent pricing for those who have very high deductibles or are underinsured. Most insurance based labs bill more than the lab costs to generate a profit and our goal is to make care affordable. Regardless, you can utilize your active insurance for additional coverage options.

  • Many HSA accounts will allow a membership and some do not so it is best to check with your HSA rules prior to using for membership. However, you can use HSA for lab, imaging, and medications.

  • If you are virtual only membership, you can move into the in person membership as there are more benefit like wholesale cost medication, procedures, EKG, etc.

  • We provide appropriate and safe controlled substance prescribing according to up to date guidelines. Stimulants for ADHD and Lyrica for neuropathy are some examples. We do not offer daily management of chronic pain like opiates (we order in 7 day supply for certain chronic and acute problems but we do not manage patients with daily use). We do not provide daily benzodiazepines (ex: Xanax) management but will manage patient with less frequent utilization. We can place referrals to pain management and psychiatry partners if that extensive management is required. In those cases we can still manage their other chronic health needs.

  • No, we do not provide hormone therapy for transitioning. We can help manage other acute and chronic needs unrelated to a patients transitioning care.

  • Our goal is to keep the cost of care and access lower than anyone around because we want to provide a concierge experience without a concierge cost. However, if there is increase in supplies, wholesale medications, and lease/rent of facility then there may be a slight increase over time. If that was to occur, there would be communication to all members before a price adjustment.

  • Options: Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually (via Credit Card or Direct Banking Transfer)

Paying in advance will save money overall but more cost up front.

If there are extra cost for clinic services like joint injection or EKG then it will be added to invoice. There is no copay so cost is membership + any extra low cost services or medications dispensed.

We will confirm and provide with 30 days of maintenance medication for you to bridge access to your new provider. We would appreciate a 30-day notice so we can offer you care during that window, but we understand life happens. Once your membership lapses we will not longer prescribe, dispense, order or provide medical advice. If you choose to re-enroll in future a $75 dollar re-enrollment fee may apply.

  • Of course you can rejoin. We would love to have you back. However, there may be a $75 re-enrollment fee applied at renewal.
